Article I
1) The accommodation agreement and related agreements entered into by this Hotel with the Guest shall be in accordance with the provisions of the general terms and conditions herein, and any matters not provided for in these general terms and conditions shall be governed in accordance with local laws and regulations or generally established customs.
2) In the event the Hotel accepts a special agreement, to the extent that it is not contrary to law and custom, such special agreement shall prevail, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
Article II
1) A person who wishes to apply for accommodation at this Hotel shall provide the following information to this Hotel:
(1) Name of the person staying;
(2) Date of stay and estimated time of arrival;
(3) Room charges (in principle, based on the basic room charge in Appendix 1)
(The Hotel may require advance payment conditions (cash or credit card) for accommodation plans and specific dates as determined by the Hotel); and
(4) Other matters as deemed necessary by the Hotel.
2) If, during the stay, the Guest requests to continue the stay beyond the date specified in item 2 of the preceding paragraph, this Hotel shall treat the request as a new application for accommodation agreement at the time the request is made.
Article III
1) The accommodation agreement shall be formalized when this Hotel has accepted the application as stipulated in the preceding article. However, this shall not apply when this Hotel proves that it did not give its agreement.
2) When an accommodation agreement has been formed pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee (deposit) determined by this Hotel shall be paid before the date designated by this Hotel within the parameters of the basic room charge for the period of stay.
3) This deposit shall first be applied to the room charge ultimately payable by the Guest, and if a situation arises where the provisions of Articles VI and XVII apply, the deposit shall be applied in the order of penalty followed by compensation, and any remaining amount shall be returned at the time of payment of the charges specified in Article XII.
4) In the event that the deposit from paragraph 2 is not paid by the date designated by this Hotel in accordance with the same paragraph, the accommodation agreement shall cease to be effective. However, this shall only apply in the event that this Hotel has notified the Guest of said policy when designating the date for payment of the application fee.
Article IV
1) Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, the Hotel may accept a special agreement that does not require the payment of the application fee required in that paragraph at the conclusion of the contract.
2) If, in accepting the application for the accommodation agreement, the Hotel does not request the payment of the application fee as stipulated in paragraph 2 of the preceding article or does not specify the date for the payment of said application fee, the Hotel shall be deemed to have agreed to the special agreement stipulated in the preceding paragraph.
Article V
1) The Hotel may refuse to enter into a contract of accommodation in the following cases:
(1) When an application for accommodation is not in accordance with these general terms and conditions;
(2) When there is no room available due to full occupancy;
(3) When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay at the Hotel is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of laws and regulations, public order, or good morals in connection with the stay;
(4) When it is recognized that the person or entity who intends to stay falls under any of the following items (a) through (c).
(a) The Hotel shall not engage in the business with any of the following: Boryokudan (organized crime groups) as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Law No. 77, 1991) (hereinafter referred to as "Boryokudan"), Boryokudan members (hereinafter referred to as "Boryokudan-in") prescribed in Item 6 of the same article, Bouryokudan quasi-organized crime syndicates, Bouryokudan-associated persons, or other antisocial forces.
(b) When the applicant is a Boryokudan or other organization whose business activities are controlled by Boryokudan-in.
(c) When the applicant is a corporation that has a member of an organized crime group among its officers;
(5) When a person who intends to stay at the Hotel has said or done something that causes significant inconvenience to other Guests;
(6) When it is plainly obvious that the person seeking accommodation is infected with a serious, contagious disease;
(7) When a person who intends to stay at the Hotel attempts to obtain an item or service by force against the Hotel or its employees, or makes demands exceeding reasonable bounds;
(8) When it is apparent that the person seeking accommodation is extremely unsanitary in body or clothing and is likely to cause inconvenience to other Guests;
(9) When it is plainly obvious that the person seeking accommodation does not have the ability to pay; or
(10) When it is not possible to accommodate the Guest due to natural disasters, breakdown of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
Article VI
1) The Guest may cancel the accommodation contract by making a request to the Hotel.
2) In the event that the Guest cancels all or part of an accommodation contract due to reasons attributable to the Guest (except in the event that this Hotel specifies the due date for and requires payment of the application fee pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 2, and the Guest cancels the accommodation contract prior to such payment), this Hotel shall charge a penalty fee as listed in the table in Appendix 2. However, in the event that this Hotel accepts the special contract stipulated in Article 4, Paragraph 1, the penalty only applies if, at the time of formation of the special contract, the Hotel has notified the Guest of their obligation to pay a penalty at the time of contract cancellation.
3) If the Guest does not arrive at the Hotel by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the stay (or, if an estimated time of arrival has been specified in advance, two hours after that time) without making contact, this Hotel may deem the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the Guest and treat it as such.
Article VII
1) The Hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases:
(1) When it is apparent that the Guest is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of laws and regulations, public order or good morals in connection with his/her stay, or when it is discovered that the Guest has committed such an act;
(2) When it is recognized that the Guest falls under any of (a) through (c):
(a) Boryokudan (organized crime groups), Boryokudan members, quasi-organized crime groups, or persons related to organized crime groups, and other antisocial forces.
(b) When the applicant is a Boryokudan or other organization whose business activities are controlled by Boryokudan-in.
(c) A juridical person whose officers fall under the category of Bouryokudan-in (organized crime group member).
(3) When a Guest uses language or behavior that causes significant disturbance to other Guests;
(4) When a person who intends to stay at the Hotel attempts to obtain an item or service by force against the Hotel or its employees, or makes demands exceeding reasonable bounds;
(5) When it is apparent that the person seeking accommodation is extremely unsanitary in body or clothing and is likely to cause inconvenience to other Guests;
(6) When it is plainly obvious that the person seeking accommodation does not have the ability to pay;
(7) When it is plainly obvious that the person seeking accommodation is infected with a serious, contagious disease;
(8) When it is not possible to accommodate the Guest due to natural disasters, breakdown of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons;
(9) When a Guest is intoxicated or otherwise likely to cause inconvenience to other Guests or when there is language or behavior that is extremely disturbing to other Guests.
(10) When the Guest does not comply with the prohibitions outlined in the rules set forth by the Hotel; or
(11) When a Guest does not comply with the prohibitions on smoking in the Guest room, on tampering with fire-fighting equipment, etc., or any other prohibitions in the Hotel's rules of use pertaining to fire prevention.
2) When this Hotel cancels the accommodation contract in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, no charge for accommodation services, etc. that have not yet been provided to the Guest will be made.
Article VIII
1) The Guest shall register the following information at the front desk of this Hotel on the day of his/her stay:
(1) Name, age, sex, address and occupation of the Guest
(2) For foreign nationals: nationality, passport number, place of entry and date of entry
(3) Departure date and scheduled departure time
(4) Other matters deemed necessary by the Hotel
2) Foreigners who do not have a domicile in Japan will be required to present their passport and a copy of it.
3) if the Guest intends to pay the charges under Article 12 by a traveler's check, room voucher, credit card, or any other method that can be substituted for currency, the Guest must present them in advance at the time of registration as described in the preceding paragraph.
Article IX
1) The hours during which Guests may use Hotel Guest rooms shall be from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day. However, in the case of a consecutive stay, the Guest may use the room for the entire day(s) not including day of arrival and day of departure.
2) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1, the Hotel may accept the use of a room outside the hours specified therein. In such cases, the following additional charges shall apply
(1) From 10:00 am until 2:00 p.m.: 1,000 yen per person per hour in excess;
(2) After 2:00 p.m.: Full daily room charge.
3) The hours specified in paragraph 1 may be changed temporarily if necessary or unavoidable. In such cases, the Hotel will notify Guests by appropriate means.
Article X
Hotel Guests shall follow the Usage Rules established by and posted in the Hotel while in the Hotel.
Article XI
1) Business hours of the Hotel's primary facilities shall be as follows (detailed business hours of other facilities, etc. shall be announced via the TV information service in the Guestrooms and by posting notices in various places):
(1) Service hours for Front Desk, cashier, etc.;
a) Curfew: main entrance locked from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am
*Hotel Guests may access the facility by using their room key card
b) Front Desk service: 24 hours
c) 5th Floor vending machines & Coin Laundry: 24 hours
d) 2nd Floor smoking area and nursing room: 24 hours
2) Business hours as specified herein are subject to change as necessary or due to unforeseen circumstances. In that event, a separate notice will be issued to Guests.
Article XII
1) Accommodation fees, etc., payable by the Guest are established as set forth in Appendix 1.
2) The payment of fees described in paragraph 1 shall be made at the front desk at the time of the Guest's departure or when requested by this Hotel, either in local currency or by a method acceptable to this Hotel, such as traveler's checks, fee vouchers, credit cards, etc., which can be substituted for such payment.
3) Once the Hotel has provided a room to the Guest and made it available to them, the Guest is obligated to pay the room fee, even if Guest voluntarily does not occupy the room.
Article XIII
1) This Hotel shall compensate the Guest for any damage caused in the performance of the accommodation contract and related agreements or in the non-fulfillment thereof. However, this shall not apply when the damage is not due to reasons attributable to this Hotel.
2) Hotel has Ryokan Liability Insurance in case of fire, etc.
Article XIV
1) If this Hotel is unable to provide the Guest with the contracted room, it shall, with the consent of the Guest and to the extent possible, arrange for other accommodation under the same conditions.
2) Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if Hotel is unable to find other accommodation, Hotel will pay the Guest a compensation fee equivalent to the cancellation charges, and the compensation fee will be applied to any additional damages. However, if the room is not available through no fault of the Hotel, no compensation fee will be paid.
Article XV
1) In the event of loss or damage to articles, cash or valuables left at the front desk by a Guest, Hotel shall compensate Guest for such loss or damage, except in cases where such damage is caused by force majeure. However, with regard to cash and valuables, in the event that Hotel has requested a disclosure of the type and value of such items and the Guest has failed to do so, compensation shall be capped at 150,000 yen.
2) In the event of loss or damage caused by the intentional or negligent act of this hotel to articles, cash or valuables brought into this hotel by a guest and not left at the front desk, this hotel shall compensate for such damage. However, if the type and value of the items are not specified by the guest in advance, this hotel will compensate for such damages up to the limit of 150,000 yen.
Article XVI
1) If a Guest's baggage arrives at this Hotel prior to his/her stay, with prior notification by Guest, it shall be stored responsibly, and shall be handed over to the Guest when he/she checks in at the Front Desk.
2) In the event that a Guest's luggage or personal belongings are left at the Hotel after the Guest has checked out, if the owner is not indicated or is not known, the Hotel will keep the items for 7 days including the day they are found and then report them to the nearest police station.
3) If either of the previous two paragraphs occurs, the responsibility of the Hotel for the custody of the Guest's baggage or personal belongings shall conform to the provisions of Article XV, paragraph 1 in the case of paragraph 1, and to the provisions of Article XV, paragraph 2 in the case of the paragraph 2.
Article XVII
1) In the event that this Hotel suffers damages due to the intentional or negligent act of a Guest, said Guest shall compensate this Hotel for such damages.
Article XVIII
1) Guests shall use computer (internet) communications from within the Hotel at their own risk, upon agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of Use. The Hotel shall not be liable for any disruption of service due to system failure or any other reason during the use of computer communications, even if the Guest suffers any inconvenience as a result of said disruption.
Article XIX
1) Personal information of Guests obtained by this Hotel in connection with accommodation contracts shall be handled appropriately in accordance with our privacy policy.
Article XX
1) The general terms & conditions of the Agreement are prepared in Japanese and English, but in the event of any discrepancy or difference between the two languages of the terms & conditions, the Japanese text shall control in all respects.
Article XXI
1) In the following cases, this Hotel may amend these terms & conditions by posting the amended contents and the effective date on its website. In addition, if necessary, the Hotel shall inform the Guests, etc. by other reasonable means.
(1) When the content of the change is in the Guest's general best interests.
(2) When the content of the change does not violate the purpose of the transaction contemplated herein, and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the change, the appropriateness of the content after the change, and other circumstances related to the change.

Caution:
In order to ensure the safe and inclusive nature of the Hotel, we ask that Guests staying at the Hotel observe the following rules in accordance with Article 10 of the Accommodation Agreement. Failure to abide by these rules may result in the Hotel refusing to allow Guest to continue lodging at the Hotel.
1) Please do not use any heating or cooking flame or any other flaming appliance in the Guest room.
2) Smoking is not permitted in the Hotel except in designated smoking areas.
3) The following items may not be brought into the lobby or Guest rooms:
(a) Animals, birds (pets) *Excluding guide dogs, hearing dogs and service dogs
(b) Items that emit a significant odor
(c) Explosives, volatile oils, and other items that are easily ignited or flammable
(d) Firearms and swords that are not lawfully permitted to be possessed.
4) Do not behave in a manner that is offensive or disruptive to public morals or other Guests in the Hotel.
5) Do not bring visitors to Guest rooms.
6) Do not use the Guest rooms or lobby as an office or display room.
7) Do not distribute advertising materials to Guests in the Hotel.
8) Rules pertaining to the various facilities and items in the building:
(a) Do not use items for any purpose other than its intended use.
(b) Do not take items out of the Hotel.
(c) Do not move or convey items to another location.
9) Rules regarding the use of computer (internet) communications in the Hotel.
(a) If any damage is caused to the Hotel or a third party as a result of use deemed inappropriate by the Hotel, the Guest shall be deemed liable for such damage.
(b) Unauthorized access to your data from inside or outside the Hotel may cause problems. Please disable your file sharing function, etc.
(c) Please refrain from using the service in a manner that may cause communication problems, as it may cause inconvenience to other customers. If any suspicious packet transmission or port usage is found, the service will be suspended.
(d) Please note that VPN connection may not be available depending on your VPN software.
10) Please do not use the Guest rooms for any purpose other than accommodation.
11) The taking of photographs for commercial purposes or in a manner that would disturb other Guests in the Hotel or on the grounds is prohibited.
1) Please pay your bill by the time of your departure or each time you receive your bill from the front desk accountant.
2) Receipts are provided for each room. If Guests in the same room would like separate receipts, please let us know as soon as possible.
3) If you have any questions about payment, please do not hesitate to ask the front desk accountant.
4) Please use the safe deposit box (free of charge) provided in your room to store your cash and valuables during your stay. If you do not use the safe deposit box, we will not be responsible for any loss or theft of cash or valuables. Please note that we cannot accept art, antiques, or other items for safekeeping.
